We have one for PES4 so why not the lastest version?

I have just finished my first season with Marseille, using the 'real' setup of Ligue 1. I won the league from Lyon by 2 points, scoring the most goals and conceded the least. The team I used was:

Mellberg was my only window signing. I also rotated an awful lot. Bamogo was also used on the LMF/RMF/CF role, Nasri in the LMF/OMF spot, and Yahiaoui in the OMF position. Christanval, Ecker and Dehu were often used in the defense too. Interestingly, E.Costa and Pedretti NEVER had even a small fatigue bar, there were ever present througout the season.

Luyindula finished top league scorer with around 22 goals (I think), Rachmane Barry weighing in with 12 while Marlet and Bamogo got about 6 each. Pedretti scored only once, but it was a 7th minute free-kick in the home game against Lyon which finished 1-0, essentially the game which gave me the title. Toulouse eliminated me from the Cup and ended up winning it.

During pre-season I have done some wheeling and dealing, but aim to make sure development of young talent like Nasri and Yahiaoui are given their fair share of game time (Nasri is only 17 and already has 88 for technique as well as low 80's for dribbling).

Had to beef up a bit for the forthcoming CL tourney, especially on the wings which is why Ismailov and Rothen were brought in. I'm enjoying it so far but I am disappointed that my Ligue 1 will now feature Dortmund and Stuttgart next season, as I had to fill up the division 2 slots and both of them got promoted :(.

Well ClassicD I put teams like de Grafschap and Den Bosch in my Div 2 when playing with Ligue 1 lets say becaus those teams will most likely not get promoted over likes of Ajaccio, Bastia and co but even then to make sure they don't I ususally put a mid-table french team in Div 2 for first season as well to make sure they take up at least 1 place of the promoted teams and then other one can go to one of the other 5 or 6 French teams.

I guess you got rid of Sylvain N'diaye who'se a versatile player but very average. Can operate DMF,CMF or even as emergency SB.

Nasri.. well what can I say man??? ahahaha there are millions of good promising players in the world but he's surely one to get you attention. He broke onto scene this season and I can tell you at 17 he's better than any other 17 year old I've seen in my OWN life but i'm sure Maradonna was probably better than him at 17. By the way I believe he was 16 and beginning of season when he broke in first team so he's probably still in early 17.

In the game though you know his postiion was wrong. In we8LE, he came as a CF but I had to change him to OMF main positoin and SMF and WF as 2nd and 3rd but he can't play Cf.

Also change Rachmane Barry's foot to left because he's left-footed.

Also I rather keep my ML realistic and I wouldn't have bought Jerome Rothen seeing as how he JUST moved to PSG, Marseille's long time arch-rivals last season and hasn't even played much due to injury. I just don't think Marseille could buy him for next season from PSG so i wouldn't have done it.

But Izmailov is a wonderful talent in real life and i'm assuming in game but he's quite often injured. He should have B or even C as injury tolerance..

Finally, Laurent Batlles is a great player. I'd like to know how much you've played him?? Has he played many games for you this season. He's 29 and in his peak right now but soon will be going down so you might want to. He's kinda like Zidane though.. not that good but got good shot... passing.. creativioty hey he even looks like him :D He's a quality player.

I signed Rothen because he had played one season for a PSG team that were struggling badly, they didn't even make the CL for next season. IMO, that's enough to make a talent like Rothen move clubs and also when you consider he left Monaco to join PSG in real life, he has a history of strange transfers (Monaco were far stronger than PSG when he moved, tho PSG are historically probably a 'bigger' club). I do keep my ML realistic. but there has to be an element of imagination in this competition, and I guess mine stretched to 'Rothen unhappy at underachieving club and has no reservations about moving to a rival team'. I guess it will also be fun to have him travel back to Parc de Princes and fire in the winner :).

Battles didn't make a single appearance, not even from the bench. E.Costa and Pedretti dominated those positions all season, and I preferred to give Nasri and Yahiaoui the OMF/SMF spots when needed.

Alright if you say so about Rothen but for me that's a bit No no lol... it's like player moving from Arsenal to Man utd or vice versa it happens but not often.
Though Fabrice Fiorese did come in from PSG but he was a useless bastard and a waste of wages to footballers and came as panicky buy for Marseille cuz they had sold off players and fans were unhappy just to get some temporary happiness back but real Marseille fans were even unhappier when Fiorese signed for Marseille because he's a very average player and doesn't deserve to be at top club but club bought him to like fool fans and it was a panic buy and now he hasn't played like he shouldn't since first 2 months of season.

Batlles is a good player man and he has some flair.. can make something happen out of nothing but problem is Marseille got good depth so he might not get many games but he's still a good weapon to have as backup or to sometimes fill in for someone when injured or tired.

Nasri I just hope has been given a development curve like he deserves :) but don't tell me about it I don't like to know because it spoils game for me :D

If i were to start game with MArseille.. I would have created Taiwo the new Babayaro who'se a DL before starting ML but anyways too late now for you :)

Aight man.. take care for now and as for Rothen moving from Monaco. YEs I found that odd but it's still not the same. Monaco is a small club with 9000 average attendance and will never be huge no matter what success they achieve so they will ship out players to other top European clubs or the likes of PSG and Marseille because these are 2 traditional giants.

So I wasn't THAT surprised when Monaco who went to CL final sold JR to PSG who was and still is very crappy team :D plus Monaco vs. PSG rivalry aint the same but anyways if it was a one-time thing it can be said something like "he was unahppy and club wanted to get rid of him as he spent whole season injured and not performing when returning from injury ;) I'm sure we can use our imagination somehow to make this one happy but from now on better think twice. :D

P.s. There are many heights wrong in the game which bothers me but I think in Marseille the only wrong one I've noticed so far is Steve Marlet.

He's defintely not 178cm. Some sites say he's 6''1 but I know he's AT LEAST 180cm so change it to that.

Also Bamogo is a very good player. If i played as Marseille i'd probably play Bamogo and Luyindula up front though it might not work great as both are short and pacey. Bamogo is very good already and still young but his positions should only be CF and WF. He's not really SMF or OMF.

I know Bamogo can't play as a SMF by default, but I used him there on occassion anyway as he has good pace and attacking skills. Those positions I knew I was weak in so that's why I focused on them when signing players. It's not always wise to follow the set positions, for example Pirlo may be a lovely passer of the ball but to play him as the DMF can leave you exposed as he's not good defensively.

That's right, Olembe moved to PSG (+cash) as part of the Rothen deal, it was a trade which perhaps softens the 'controvesy' aspect of it. Also bear in mind IRL Dehu moved from PSG to Marseille just last year so it's not as if it simply doesn't happen ;).

The master league structure continues to be terrible, but this time I decided to give it a go. In previous versions I liked to take some minor team to glory, but this time I went a different way. I'm playing with Inter now, and I'm going to make a revolution in the squad and take them to glory once again. Of course, that loses all the fun when some team from other country enters my league. So, I decided to mix all leagues.

Well, nothing revolutionary here. Strange thing is: I'm playing with only one ofensive arrow and one defensive arrow. And I'm playing with B on all options (counter-attack, back line, etc etc) Usually I end up giving 2 arrows to all players, make the to crazy runs, mixing everything. I'm enjoying a lot playing like this.

I am trying ot buy young players, then I am going to play with 2 wingers, but with no DMF just a CMF and a OMF,I will try a kind of dinamic midfield.

My star thus far has benn Cambiasso. Nothing gets past him, excellent passing, builds up great, and shoot decently. It reminds me (but much slower) Davids of PES1. This game reminds me of PES1 in terms of carisma of the players, of how they are more like their real counterparts. Don't really know how to explain it, but that magic feeling from PES1 is back.

Also you want to get Antonioli ex-Roma keeper who's like 34/35 back now??

indeed, I mostly use Chivu as a SMF, the best positiion for this player in the game so far. But yeah, still we all know he's initially a central defender.

Antonioli is about 34, but he's got skills at least, I've chosen him becoz my policy when I play the ML is to build a team only with players who have previously or are currently playing for the club, that's the way I work.. lol I'm lusting him so I have 3 quality keepers.

Pelizzoli is my "number 1"I like what he does, he's young, good, and I'm a keep him since he keeps progressing.

Corvia has got skills as well, as a young prospect he can progress well, I've been using him occasionally last season, but in my opinion he's not strong enough physically (poor body balance),but he's still in the squad this season.
So that's why I've bought John(in place of Curci, exchange), 19 year old dutch striker from Fulham who his a complete striker, and strong !


btw, boy.. Real Madrid are damn gud...! they play so fast with short passes and can score at any time. But I know how to deal with them so.

Well as Newcastle aren't in my ML Kluivert was on a free, so I brought him in at the end of pre-season. I had to pay a lot of cash to get him to join, and so far it looks like money wasted.

After about 6 games this season I am in 8th place, it's ridiculous how much harder it has been than the beginning of last season. I have had 3 absolutely shocking penalties awarded against me in my last 4 matches, really, really terrible decisions. So far the only players who have settled in are Rothen and van den Borre, the others are not playing well at all and PLF - Ismailov picked up a bloody injury!

My own option file, no stats edited just player names translated. I used Fernando as a base patch then added other graphics myself, that way I can pick and choose what goes in rather than have a lot of stuff I'd rather not have which would be the case if I put say, Gangsta Ole patch on.

Yay! An ML thread for LE :mryellow: Nice one, Classic :).

I have started an ML, I am Liverpool. I do "Premiership", "La Liga", "Serie A" and "Best/Rest of Europe" as my four leagues. I am in the "Premiership", (obviously ;)). Just coming up to the halfway transfer window in my first season.

I'm doing OK so far, 3rd in Premiership. Having only lost 1 game, that was my latest match, I went down 4-0 to leaders Arsenal at Highbury :(. That was a very dirty match, with 3 players in total being injured; Morientes for me, and Fabregas and Campbell for Arsenal.

I havn't had the best time with injuries, had a few little niggly ones - Baros was out for 3 weeks, Morientes out earlier in season for 2 weeks, Cisse out for 3 weeks and currently Luis Garcia has a serious injury and is out for another 6 weeks.

I need to find some new players in the transfer window coming up, especially a Goalkeeper, that is my main priority, Dudek and Kirkland just aren't up to the job.

My aim for this season is to get into Europe, so finising in the top 6 will do me fine :).

This is exactly how I play, But I use Arsenal :)..... Finished 3rd my first season with just 2 losses and like 9 draws is what really killed me.... Away games seem to be really really hard...... I dont plan on buying big because Taylor is developing into a great goalkeeper although the only player Im trying to get in is Kompany who is great and amazingly only 18 yrs of age.......

Fabregas is developing at a tremendous rate and I think by the 3rd season he will be better then Vieria and Gilberto......

Man City bought Pele which really sucks because they will OWN now....... Konami really need to fix this option to turn on and off in Master League...... I dont really care if the players regenerate at 17 with the same names BUT their stats remain the freakin same with is just awful and really unrealistic.......

yeah one good thing Konami have done in WE8LE is give way more players B injury than they had.

In PES4/WE8 there was nowhere near as much injuries in a ML season as there should be. I remember playing and I had 1 or 2 injuries in a WHOLE season, how unrealistic is that?? Almost every player gets injured in a season at least once even if it is for a couple matches but some get injured two or 3 times a season like Robben this time around.

So with chaning many's Injury Tolerance from A to B the game is no way more realistic and you might go through patches in ML where you have several players injured and lets say they're all from same position as well which would make it EXTRA fun :D and several people away on int'l duty while others are in bad form arrows or unfit. :) oh man that'd be great and way more realistic than having a shitload of players to choose from for each match.

by the way for those who are concerned more about realism than just WINNING, I recommend what I did to PES4 ML thread as well and most agreed. Do NOT regulate condition before matches. It makes game easier than it should be. Once you regulate condition, no player will have grey or blue arrows meaning everyone is at least in NORMAL conditoin (green) but in real life we all know that sometimes players are out of form/tired and a blue or grey arrow would be realistic and it'd be up to you to play a blue arrowed Cisse or a RED Sinama-Pongolle :D

That's a very good idea PLF and from now on I WON'T be regulating condition. I also think it unfair that if you do regulate condition that your players are shit hot, whilst the CPU could have grey / blue arrows! Hopefully I'll be playing some more ML later tonight.

I'm no way going to get automatic Champions League qualification, but should definately finish in the top 6. However this means I will have a lot of games next season; almost 2 every week. With this in mind, I am looking to buy a few players at the end of the season. I have already brought in the goalkeeper Mondragon from Galatasary, who is doing well and currently is 1st choice GK. Need more midfielders and at least one more defender. I have the money as I have sold 3 or 4 players in the half-season transfer window, so it's just about getting the right people :).

9 games left in the season and I am 3rd in the league and in the semi final of the cup - well on target for this season.

Well I've went PES Utd.

I just started out with the ML team, I'm 3rd, think around 4 points from the top and in the semi's of D2 cup.

Thankfully managed to buy a few players to help with the charge. Pashazedeh (my captain), Alex Santos, Kawaguchi, Nakazawa and Karimi.

Ah FD, still trying to buy up the old favourites I see, what about old jolly giant Morales up front? :mrgreen:

I'm sitting 3 points behind Monaco with 8 games left to play in Ligue 1, but any from the top 5 could still win it.

Seem to be building up quite a rivalry with Lyon, last season I beat them 4-0 away and 1-0 at home, this season I also got them in my CL group so we've played 4 times. In the league they beat me 3-0 at their place, then I was 2-0 up on them in the CL (again at their place), but they came back to win 3-2 (bloody unfathomable goal in injury time). I absolutely pumped them 5-0 in the return CL game to consign them to 3rd spot in the group then when they came back to my place for the final league game beat them 3-0, they're now 8th position and totally out of the title race. :mrgreen:

Got Arsenal in the last 8 of the CL, beat them 3-1 home and away, and have Inter lined up in the semi-finals. I guess I would be the neutral's choice as the other semi is AC Milan vs Juventus. Kluivert is on fire in the CL for me this season, but tbh the competition has made me take my eye off the ball a bit in the league.

Nasri = fecking hell, this guy is only 18 in my game and is such a technically gifted player. van den Borre's stats as we near the end of the second season mean he can practically play anywhere on the park.

I would agree with you 100% if the "condition" factor wasn't implemented in a crappy random way, it's so annoying when you have a forward score a hattrick then next game he's depressed, utter bollocks and that destroys any chance of realism :(

Nasri is a Marseille player, stats aren't great at the start or in friendlies, etc but he has 92 technique for me now and it's not even the end of my second season, plus he's only 18 so I'd imagine he'll get better still.

I never condition my players anyway, not because it makes it tougher but because I can't be arsed, I just want to play the games.

Yep, have never done this in my puff. Pity Hadji isn't around, in the last games he was there but not now. I was assuming this was the younger one who recently played in the Africa Nations and played for some french team. Also the ponytail dude from Ecuador, forget his name and Hernandez from Mexico.

PLF PSG has a history of selling good players like Okocha, Anelka, L. Robert and more........it seems that they are a unambitous club.

And Marseille and PSG are both VERY ambitious but of course when they have one of the best players in world that is wanted by even bigger clubs in bigger leagues like Milan, Juve, Man Utd they have to sell but they ARE ambitious both of them... and do sign big. remember ronaldinho went to PSG even though lots of clubs were after him. Of course he didn't have best of time there but anyways...

I have finished my first season in ML. Finished 3rd in the Premiership and got to the FA Cup Final.

First, the FA Cup Final: Well, I was basically screwed by the ref, who showed Didi Hamaan 2 yellow cards within 14 minutes of the kick off!!! :shock: The first was a foul, but no need to card, and the second was debatable whether it was even a foul or not! So being down to 10 men after 14 mins in the FA Cup Final against Arsenal, was not an ideal situation. :-k, after some thinking I sacrificed Morientes and just left Baros up front on his own, which with hindsight was a mistake, as I wish I had left Morientes up and substituted Baros. To my credit the match actually finished 0-0, then in the first period of silver goal extra time, Henry broke through and punished me, final score:

The last 3 games in my Premiership campaign were Man U (A), Chelsea (A) and Arsenal (H)!!! Not the easiest finish to a season by a long long way!!! The lucky thing was that these fixtures were purely academic as I have been confirmed 3rd for a long while. However there was still pride to play for, and a cup final revenge tie last of all. In both Man U & Chelsea I finished with 10 men and 0 points.

In the 2-1 defeat to Chelsea, Riise scored Goal of the Season as voted for by the Kop, which you can see by clicking his name. A very nice consolation goal, which he smashed home off the bar with his right foot :shock:!

The last game of the season was home to Arsenal. And I owed them one for the FA Cup Final defeat. This time I finished with 11, and it was a much more even game with chances at both ends. A nice move started by Gerrard found Baros, who found Cisse, who found the back of the net, 1-0 after 55mins play. I was on top for the rest of the game and came close on few occasions, but I was made to pay for my misses as van Persie took a high ball on the bounce and managed to poke it over Mondragon's head in injury time! 1-1, but a rivalry seems to be building.

Overall, a good season, and some European football next season, although I fear the huge amount of games may be a hinderance, rather than a help.

Finished my first season in the ML with BLackburn on 5* in the 2nd division. Finished 5th, 1 point behind 4th place. Needed a victory in the last game against the 6th place side but couldn't manage it. Was not out of the D2 cup in the first round on aggregate 3-3. Partizan scored 1 minute before injury time to seal my doom. Didn't have a lot of money in the offseason so I only purchased Pablo Mastroeni (USA). OTher players I brought in during the midseason transfer was Carew (CF) and Nakata (OMF). Through 2 games of the 2nd season I am in 5th place with 2 draws. We'll see what happens next.

Nice to see your starting line up isn't all that different from when you started the game. I hate it when people totally change a team they picked with only 2-3 players from original line up.

Still though you have WAYyyyy too much backup for central midfield it seems and to not play Sneijder is a tragedy. Sure Xabi and Gerrard are amazing but this is why Sneijder wouldn't come to this team because he wouldn't want to sit on bench. Unless you find space for him on wing or something.

You play with 2 CMs, Xabi and Gerrard so max you'll need is 1 DMF, 2 CM's and ONE OMf... which could be a promising young original player like Potter, I don't know why you have H. Nakata AND Fusani it's just a bit too much i think as well as Smicer of course but i count him as backup for wing so thats alright.

Someone less famous and more backupy would be more appropriate than a guy who regularly hits 15+ goals in a season sitting on bench hoping to play few games max in a season especially when he has only 2-3 seasons left in him.

Anyways those are my thoughts Tim7 but I still enjoy reading your ML of course I just thought i'd give you my views on the realism of it all.

Me and my mate finished first and got promoted from the lowest division, then did the same with "League D" with 19 random teams (Valencia and Newcastle being the strongest) and now the next season begun and we're still with those same crap teams in the same division. Wtf is up with that? Does it just continue like this forever? You get stuck in the same "top-flight" division? Lastly, why are some teams missing lol, they have no league so all their players are free. Am I missing something or is this the way it's supposed to be lol?

Yea, there is no where to go after u make it up to Division 1... BUT u get to play in the Champions League Or Uefa cup.... And yes there is only 4 Leagues unfortuanantley when you play Master League.....

I play with EPL, Spanish League, Italian League, and REst of the WOrld League......
If Konami could include ALL leagues in the game for master league this would be a HUGE plus to WE9..... hopefully sum1 will let them know how much better it would be to have all six or maybe even 7 leagues for master league.....

Currently exceeding my expectations. Sitting 1st in the league 4 points clean of AC milan could be 6 points clear but teams form has been dodgy as of late due to the absense of top scorrer adriano -26goals with 7 matches to go in the league and ferdinand both injured.
In the semi final of cup 1st leg played against liverpool ended in a fustrating 1-1 i was away at least. Rooney is second top scorrer in the league with 18goals.

So far so good. In the summer i plan to clear out some midfielders, offload baumjohan and bolster my squad for europe. Been tryin to get my hands on gerrrard but no luck!

MY best player has been Rio ferdinand who has saved the teams skin countless times and is a quality defender.

I've just started ML on 6* with Newcastle real squad, playing on 15 min/game. I'm struggling a bit scoring goals as stupid as that sounds having such top strikers. After 8 division games I've only scored 7 goals. Luckily my defence is good, despite 3-0 hammering vs Celtic I've had numerous 1-0 wins.

I hope to strengthen my weak midfield for next season. Butt and Jenas have been ok but they are getting overpowered a lot. Neither has enough body balance I reckon so I'm struggling there. I really need a strong young cheap midfielder who can pass decently, has some power in his shots, good teamwork and can head the ball, jump high or is very tall. I'm looking into buying Papa Diop from Fulham. He's 195cm and strong.

You guys know of any good strong cheap midfielders?

I wouldn't have a problem if these people did this when picking Real Madrid though but they do it with the likes of Newcastle or even lesser teams.

Plus even Real isn't like that I mean they have good 1st team and good backup strikers but other than 2 good strikers on bench and Solari the rest are Spanish Nobodys. Real does NOT have good depth in their squad. If injuries get really bad and stuff they'll be relying on the likes of Borja, Celades and a bunch of other hopeless people who aren't good enough for backup of Real

Man you guys should see the progress im makin with my youngsters...... Fabregas allready at like 94 Technique.... Clichy, Hoyte, Lupoli, Owusu-Abeyie, R. Smith, are developing at such a quick rate that I dont think I will have to buy almost anybody...

Lehmann and Bergkamp are both retiring after just 2 seasons of ML :( I do however have to invest in a more experienced and great goalkeeper because I dont think Taylor is quite yet ready.... And Almunia is absolute crap in this game......

For the third season I will most likely be makin just 1 HUGE purchase as I bring in a good goalkeeper... The development of my youngsters has been superb....

This means that you can tell us how someone is developing and how they're doing as long as you're not really specific. Also don't tell us if a player has CRAP potential curve because seeing that will make me and many others not bother with him but if we don't know we'll try it and it'll be risky like it should be :)

After all if we know about all the KOMPANYs and Kaebis and Pique and Fabregas of the game... there'll be no point in playing the game as we know how EVERYONE will turn out.

So whether you've found a player who has AMAZING potential or one who will go NOWHERE please keep it ambiguous.

I think player development also has to do with how you play, train the player, etc... sum players develop slower and sum just fly through the roof......

Fabregas was not much of a secret as he plays in Arsenal and just like Martins everyone kinda knows he'll turn out great but there are others that have been GIVEN Away unfortunately by people in various forums like Pique, Kompany, Cardoso of Boca and Rachmane Barry of Marseille. I said these as many already know but hopefully we won't have discussions like that anymore.

It isn't necessarily unrealistic...who would have thought 5 years ago that Chelsea could buy every player in the world if they wanted (i'm not sure that they really want, credit to them: they want to have British players...).
If tomorrow some billionaire wants to buy Istres, Den Bosc, Jeunesse Esch or my beloved Castel di Sangro (in that case the camorra) then they can buy all the best players in the world. Sometimes reality seems irreal...

And about Vanden Borre becoming a star player...that's rather funny...he's a good young player but in five years he will be a rather average good defender, far from a star...he is highly overrated in the game...which makes me think about other young geniuses like Barry, Baumjohann, Kaebi...are they really that good irl???(not that it really matters).

Even the fact that some teams might become millionares like Chelsea is not a good excuse to having an unrealistic game because as you can see even Chelsea don't have van Nistelrooy, Adriano, Drogba and Ronaldo all competing for 2 or 1 spot.

They're a rich team and have bought well but by far their team is not like a ALL-STAR team and certainly they don't have an EQuaIvalent of Lampard on bench or an equivalent of Duff or Robben on bench. That's my problem. When people in this game sign BACKUPS, they don't ususally choose backup quality players, they choose someone who can totally even replace the player they're buying backup for.

They buy like Viera as backup for Gerrard where one plays DMF. that's just not realistic.. if you want to buy backup for Gerrard then it has to be someone a little bit lower calibre or less famous.

Anyways i understand what PLF is saying, it nice to buy really average players and test yourself against teams like real madrid, barca, man u and the rest. If you look at what DB is doing, it is fun playing your ML like your a real life manager, seing if you can get to the heights of success using a pile of second rate players, think about what Bryan Clough did with Nottinham Forrest :D And aso the game will last a bit more longer because it won't be easy to get promoted in 1 season and also when you get to Div 1 you don't want to be challenging for the league.......but like people said you could do what you want with your ML......i prefer to play with below par players and find hidden jems in the game and i found a couple which people will probably will never know about 8)

Yep I agree that it's your game and you can buy whoever you want.

Although as PLF says it does make it a tad boring for some players.

I've always tried to play with lesser known players though through the games and as some will know I have my favs who I still buy now.

Anyway about my game, after deleting it by mistake :( , started up again, but have had a real bad time in the league. I've only picked up about 4 points from 12 so far. I was getting frustrated and Gronigen raced into a 2-0 lead at my park in the Cup 1st leg, but I fought back and won 3-2. So hopefully I can progress in the cup as it will allow me to get in decent players for the 2nd round. Although Ostwald came in for the injury-prone Miranda (I swear if you fart near him, he'll be out for 4 weeks) and scored a couple of valuable goals in that game, can't remember ever using him before in previous games.

yeah the fun is quickly taken away if you get promoted the first season and usually with the type of players these people sign, you can have WON it all including the treble by 3rd season and really after that there is not much motivation to go on ;)

However if you limit yourself with 2 or 3 transfers a year and set rules on who you can buy.. it'll take 6-7 season to get a DESCENT team going and so you wouldn't have won everything chances are.

and compared to yhe SerieA-Liga league in which i'm playin' with AS ROMA, It's much EASIER to make goals , especially againt average dutch team. Not surprising after all.

I have won the WEFA CL in my second season, already have the D1 cup in the bag too and sit 1 point behind leaders Monaco in the league with 3 games left (the last of which, is vs Monaco). The CL final vs Milan was tough because they defended well, but they offered next to nothing in the way of attacking me, it finished 1-0. Maybe I bought too many players, I don't know, but going from scoring regularly at the start of the season it now seems the AI cannot break my defense at all.

I'm actually pathetic, although I'm blaming refs and a woeful team to start off with. I'm rock bottom of the league, first time I can ever recall. I find it very hard with the ML players. Although I have just managed to sign some more players:- Yamaguchi, Nakazawa, Pashazedeh, Kaebi, Detrahaut (sp?), Alex Santos, Roberto (edited player). Still got whipped 3-1 though.

In the 2nd leg of the cup got whipped 5-0 with Gronigen (who where bottom of the league then).

Although I'm going a bit wild in the tackles now with frustration. Although the ref's blow up everytime you go near a player, yet I can hardly get fouls.

I think the fan's will soon be calling for my head, the crowd's have withered away and I think they could be easily counted.

There is not only threads but huge lists of these players gathered around at sites like www.gamefaqs.com (http://www.gamefaqs.com) or even PESInsight's forums.

Finding these names and list is no hard... if you can't find it.. I'll find it for you when I get home but please don't turn this or the PES4 Master league discussion of Evo-web which is the best version into YET ANOTHER big list of players with amazing curves. It spoils the game for rest of us knowing who will turn good and who will not.

So for now go check out www.gamefaqs.com (http://www.gamefaqs.com) yourself and look for PES4 and there'll be surely some guide in it with list of best growing GKs, DEfs,MFs and FW.

That 90% used to include me. But as you correctly pointed out, PLF, the enjoyment level goes down to zero.

I now find it MUCH better to try and develop new talents and make them into world class players, rather than just buying the best players that would unrealistically sit on the bench.

I know what you mean. In addition to what PLF mentioned, I get really bored after something like 4 yrs gametime when my squad's young players have developed to a good level and the team has won everything. I'll find myself starting from scratch.

Got my 2nd season underway, however still finding it quite difficult, took a couple of beatings recently. Play has been a bit erratic, although won the 1st leg of the cup 6-2 against NAC. Sitting around 2nd or 3rd bottom, but only about 6-7 points from the top.

Will need to get my arse in gear, but think a 4-4-2 is the way ahead now, was trying 3-5-2 with 2 AM's however losing a lot of goals defensively. Seems a little better with 4 at the back.

Fabregas was not much of a secret as he plays in Arsenal and just like Martins everyone kinda knows he'll turn out great but there are others that have been GIVEN Away unfortunately by people in various forums like Pique, Kompany, Cardoso of Boca and Rachmane Barry of Marseille. I said these as many already know but hopefully we won't have discussions like that anymore.

While I agree with you in general about masterleague (though my own rules are slightly different of course) I do not believe Vincent Kompany of Anderlecht is a secret. This year has been stellar for him and he has gained international as well as club exposure. He has been linked with teams in Italy, Spain and England and I know his merits have been debated for months on among Arsenal fans. Optimistic Gooners were hoping Kompany would be brought in to Highbury in the Jamuary transfer window.
Some of the young players people prefer like Rooney or Fabregas (or Kompany imo) most of the people that watch football with any degree of regularity will be aware of.

Edited stats are possible if you make those changes on your PC with editor and then burn the game but if you change stats in EDIT mode... then all revert back to default once you start ML.

Same with edited teams.

But once you start ML you have 3 options: Default players, Real players of that team, or 3rd option is you make your own ORIGINAL team this might be what you want Zlatan. You pick 3 players and the rest are the default boys.
you give your team a name and make a jersey and play away.

Still struggling big-time in this game in my 2nd season.

I'm kinda lost without a big man up front, so managed to grab some guy Christensen (190cm, not as big as I wanted, but cheap) from Twente II, he did quite well in his debut playing a part in 2 of the goals (3-0 win). Took a good few defeats including a 3-0 defeat in the 2nd leg of the cup against NAC.

Need to try and catch 2nd placed Roda in the league, they're 7 pts clear, Herenveen are 11 pts clear at the top. Guess the title is out of reach, but just really want to try and get promoted.

Can't remember a previous WES/PES game being so difficult for me. Feel the opponents are far stronger and they seem to swarm around you like flies, with no time really on the ball and as for the ref's, they're a joke, umpteen fouls against as soon as you brush against a CPU player, but the other way around nothing.

My first Everton Vs Liverpool match in the ML was a feisty affair. The dirty blues took the lead after the 22nd minute with a thumping Ferguson header and 2 minutes later I get Hyppia sent off.

We get to half time and I am losing 1-0 and am getting shat on.

They just keep on attacking at it seems I am dropping further and further back, then I lose my rag and hack down Bent, getting Carragher sent off in the 58th min. As you can imagine that really didnt help and I am facing attack after attack but I have got my midfield to drop back and cover. Admittedly limiting my attack but I am going for damage limitation now.

We hit the 83 minute and I am down to 8 men after getting Alonso sent off for a 2nd bookable. Now I am screwed.























However in the 89th minute there is a scramble in their box and Garcia half volleys it past Martyn to make it 1-1. Delight and joy combine and I finish with 8 men but a draw, I will miss those players in future weeks I am sure but I think I can cope.

Hey good choice i used to play this guy in my old ML with FC Twente, his stats aern't good but when you play him his really good and is dangerous in the air. Byt the problem with him his got a C for his injury tolerence, so you betta have a back up for him.

@Zlatan, I don't know man, ML is only thing that keeps me goign with this game. Combined with great database ML could be a killer. I think you should give it another try bro.. it's not just about winning for you to say well... I won everything with CRAPPIEST players.. so no point playing. If you really enjoy pickign a REAL weak club and through the years with progress make them a better and better club till one day they get into Europe and maybe challenge for title it'll be nice and realistic if you play with rules and will tkae a good 4-5 seasons. On other hand if you don't... then you can have all-star team in 2 seasons and win everything easily but ML is sick, you should try it.

Need to try and catch 2nd placed Roda in the league, they're 7 pts clear, Herenveen are 11 pts clear at the top. Guess the title is out of reach, but just really want to try and get promoted.



Well somehow I managed to get into form and went on a great run. Missed out on the top spot to Roda, Herenveen collapsed in the end. Had to play Herenveen and Twente II in the last 2 games, and they where right behind me, I'd have failed if I didn't manage to win both games.

Also won the cup against Herenveen 2-1 with Gahkdozidze (sp?) and Christensen scoring the decisive goals. Big Christensen has been blinding for me and even though he came in the mid-season transfer window he still bagged 11 goals (2nd top scorer) and managed to set up a few into the bargain. MVP was Roberto who was also top scorer (17 goals) and assister in the league, although personally I thought Pashazedeh was my best playing a DM role.

Hopefully bring in some players for the coming season, got a few in mind but need to watch the money.

I also had him down as more of an attacking mid, although I think he played a very attacking role for France in the U17 championships (with Menez and Ben Arfa). He seems a very skilful and versatile player.

I've created Nasri in my master league by transforming Giuseppe Rossi of Man Utd into him, but Rossi's development curve is nowhere near Nasri's huuuuge potential... Can anyone think of a young player with a closer profile to Nasri's that I could adapt?

@Zlatan, I don't know man, ML is only thing that keeps me goign with this game. Combined with great database ML could be a killer. I think you should give it another try bro.. it's not just about winning for you to say well... I won everything with CRAPPIEST players.. so no point playing. If you really enjoy pickign a REAL weak club and through the years with progress make them a better and better club till one day they get into Europe and maybe challenge for title it'll be nice and realistic if you play with rules and will tkae a good 4-5 seasons. On other hand if you don't... then you can have all-star team in 2 seasons and win everything easily but ML is sick, you should try it.

Heh, bro, I see no point in continuing playing the ML when I've won everything, it's the same thing all over again and again. In all versions so far I've won everything in the ML using the shitty players. It's like CM/FM, even with crappy teams you win everything, it's too easy. Besides I hardly ever play against the CPU myself, got friends dropping by every other day so we play tournaments/leagues against each other. I just wish they made the CPU like 5-10x better and smarter than it is right now and scrap the ML and replaced it with normal and realistic leagues. But that's just a dream now as there aren't even enough teams in the game. Maybe ten years from now they'll do that :)

@Docus, there are lot of young players I know with HUGE potentials that would be good replacements for Nasri. Problem is I can't think of many that should be over-written though as they're not in those clubs in real life anymore. So if you create Nasri over them you still have to create them over someone else. If I do think of a good one that shouldn't be there anymore and has good potential.. I'll tell you though.

Either way Nasri is defintely not a CF. He can play OMF,SMF and maybe even WF but not as a central forward. I'll post stats for you soon.

@Zlatan, man i wish my friends like this shit... I dont remember his exact name cause Im at school. But its 3 names: Sin Park Chon or something, tall person with golden vapor boots. I just got him cause his speed and dribble was decent and he was only 20yrs. When I got him he was AWESOME fast and really good at rushing past defenders. He cant score that good, he allways hits the post or shoots outside but thats gonna get better with time. And I looked at the growth sheet and his graph goes almost all the way to the top, (Ronaldos is lower) and im amazed, if I keep him for 5 years hes gonna be the best player in the game. Anyone else stumbled into him? His average salary when you sign him is only 200. Hes in the easy search. Any other talents to look out for??

ok here it is... it spoils the game but you didn't know this till you READ THIS... so same with rest of us when we read its too later we alreayd find out about a player who will have better GROWTH curve than Ronaldo and he'll become amazing. that's bullshit man... it shouldn't happen. I've said in PES4 ML thread and HERE.. and most people agree with me.

If you want a list of greatest players with greatest curves that can be provided.. if not you can discuss how players are developing like OPM's question is fine but if we were to talk specifically about how high every players' growth curve will go, ML would become pointless and the risk factor soon gone.
